The 32nd Australia Papua New Guinea Business Forum is in its final day at the Cairns Convention centre.

The program has been packed with great speakers, a full schedule of sessions and presentations on business, industry and topics pertinent to Papua New Guinea. Coupled with the 2016 Trade Expo, the two and half day forum has been a great success for the hosts, Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council and the Business Council of Papua New Guinea, Sponsors and all delegates and exhibitors, with over 500 in attendance.

The Keynote Addresses were delivered by the Hon Peter O’Neill, Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea (pictured) and Senator The Hon Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, Minister for International Development and the Pacific, representing The Hon Malcolm Turnbull MP, Prime Minister of Australia.

The Henry Kila Memorial Address was delivered by Dr Barry Kirby, The Hands Of Rescue (THOR) Foundation.

The forum has included comprehensive sessions with Business, Economic and Resource updates for Papua New Guinea as well as an excellent session on meeting career and social challenges for one of PNG's greatest untapped resources: women.

The afternoons have seen 8 workshops on topics such as health, education, Aid for Trade, building capacity for trade, APEC 2018, young entrepreneurs, Australia and Papua New Guinea developing together and infrastructure.

The Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council would like to thank our wonderful Sponsors and speakers, the Cairns Convention Centre and everyone involved who have helped make this event such a success.

We will be distributing the forum communique, presentations and photos soon.
