As a large maritime nation with extensive fisheries resources, Papua New Guinea has a direct stake in global ocean governance and blue economy development. The conference could help elevate Pacific priorities regarding marine resource sustainability and coastal climate resilience.
For the private sector, major events create opportunities in aviation, hospitality, logistics and business services. Trade promotion agencies typically organise investment forums and business dialogues alongside summits, creating platforms for showcasing sector opportunities to international partners.
