Businesses for Health PNG will host its annual Workplace HIV Workshop at the Gateway Hotel, Port Moresby, on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, under the banner “Triple Elimination – HIV, Hepatitis B & Syphilis.”

The one-day forum, timed to precede World AIDS Day, will gather company health and safety representatives, TB wardens, HR and CSR teams, and workplace health champions to learn practical steps to stop transmission in families and at work. Click here to download the flyer for more information.

Papua New Guinea continues to face one of the Pacific’s highest burdens of sexually transmitted infections. Each year, thousands of adults and infants are affected by HIV, hepatitis B or syphilis – conditions that are preventable with education, early detection, and access to treatment.

B4H’s “Triple Elimination” campaign highlights the urgent need to stop parent-to-child transmission of these infections and strengthen the national workforce through healthier communities

B4H is a registered not-for-profit association that trains non-health staff across Papua New Guinea industries in TB and HIV prevention, early detection, and workplace case support. Its donor programme allows businesses to sponsor annual training for their employees and receive infection-control education, free access to testing and treatment services, and ongoing technical advice. Training sponsors also contribute to the National TB Programme’s vision of a TB-free Papua New Guinea, helping to reduce absenteeism and strengthen public-health capacity

“Your leadership makes a difference. Together, we can save lives, protect babies, and strengthen our workforce,” says B4H Director Dr Ann Clarke.

Annual sponsors receive free training places, with tailored courses offered for businesses of any size and sector. Registration for the November workshop and the 2025 training calendar is now open via www.businesses4health.com or by emailing lorrie@businesses4health.com.
