Running from 13 to 15 May in Brisbane, the programme is structured to bring together policy, investment and sector insights across three days of focused discussion and engagement.

Proceedings begin with the Council’s Annual General Meeting, followed by the commencement cocktail reception and the official opening of the Trade Expo. The opening day concludes with the forum dinner, setting the tone for the discussions ahead.

Day two opens with keynote addresses from leaders in Papua New Guinea and Australia, alongside the Henry Kila OBE Memorial Address. The programme then moves into concurrent sessions covering sport as a catalyst for economic growth and the role of agribusiness in driving development.

Further sessions explore major projects shaping Papua New Guinea’s future, alongside discussions on financial integrity, investment flows and access to capital. The day also addresses workforce readiness, with a focus on artificial intelligence, skills and the future of work.

Day three continues with keynote discussions, including perspectives on the Australia Papua New Guinea Pukpuk Treaty, followed by sessions on infrastructure pipelines and investment opportunities.

The programme also examines key emerging areas, including Bougainville’s economic outlook, the growth of the SME sector, climate and carbon markets, and the role of digital infrastructure in improving market access. The final sessions turn to the future of the resources sector before concluding remarks and closing networking events.

Across the programme, the focus remains on practical insights and real opportunities, ensuring that delegates leave with a clearer understanding of where Papua New Guinea’s growth is heading and how to engage with it.

Registrations are now open. With strong interest across both the forum and the Trade Expo, delegates are encouraged to secure their place early, confirm travel and accommodation, and position themselves at the centre of Australia-Papua New Guinea business engagement.
