Brisbane will be in full swing for Magic Round in 2026, and right in the middle of that buzz the Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council will be staging one of its biggest milestones of the year: the 41st Australia Papua New Guinea Business Forum #41APNGBF.
The Forum will again be held alongside Magic Round, one of the city’s busiest and most anticipated weekends, under the theme Game On for Growth. The combination is deliberate. It creates a rare opportunity to bring together business, government and institutional leaders at a time when Brisbane is operating at full energy, with the city drawing visitors from across Australia and overseas.
For Council members, this is shaping up as a flagship moment to reconnect with Papua New Guinea and Australian business leaders, senior officials, and long-standing partners, while also opening the door to new relationships and new commercial conversations.
While the Council is still finalising the detailed programme and participation formats, the key message remains unchanged: this is an event members will want to plan for early.
Magic Round draws tens of thousands of visitors to Brisbane and accommodation availability tightens quickly. Members and prospective delegates are strongly encouraged to secure flights and hotels now, even before registrations formally open.
The next update will be an important one. The Council expects to release further details this month, including how organisations can participate, ways to get involved, and how members can position themselves for maximum visibility and engagement across the Forum programme.
The 41st Forum will build on a strong period of Council activity supporting Australia-Papua New Guinea business links through briefings, sector engagement and ongoing dialogue. It will also provide a timely chance to take stock of recent developments, compare notes with peers, and look ahead to the next phase of commercial cooperation.
More information on registrations, programme highlights and participation opportunities will be shared shortly as preparations move into the next stage.
