Business leaders are rallying entrepreneurs and industry professionals to attend the upcoming 39th Australia Papua New Guinea Business Forum. Scheduled for May 13-15 at the Sheraton Mirage on the Gold Coast, this event promises to be a pivotal gathering for fostering business relations between Australia and Papua New Guinea.

Vaughan Mills, President of the Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council, expressed his enthusiasm for the event. He noted that the forum would provide a unique platform to connect with like-minded business colleagues who are keen on contributing to Papua New Guinea’s prosperity. Mills also said the event would feature distinguished speakers who will offer updates on ongoing projects and present diverse, challenging perspectives on regional developments.

The forum will not only focus on networking but will also showcase a series of talks and presentations designed to highlight the myriad opportunities available in Papua New Guinea, besides a trade expo on site. Attendees can expect to gain valuable insights into the region’s economic landscape and potential areas for investment and growth.

Echoing Mills’ sentiments, Nihal Shah, Vice President of the Australia Papua New Guinea Business Council, highlighted the forum’s significance as the premier event for networking and business growth in the Pacific region. Shah emphasised that the forum would bring together key players from both business and government across various sectors, making it an ideal venue for forging new business relationships and exploring opportunities in Papua New Guinea.

Both leaders urged businesses interested in expanding their reach within the Pacific and Australia to participate in this critical event. They stressed the importance of seizing the opportunity to engage with a broad spectrum of industry sectors and government representatives to enhance their business prospects in this dynamic region.

Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape will address the Forum. Also two distinguished figures, former Tasmania Premier The Hon Peter Gutwein GAICD, and rugby league icon Malcolm Norman Meninga AM, are set to grace the Forum . Their attendance promises a convergence of expertise from the political and sporting arenas, offering unique insights into business, sustainability, and leadership.

As the event approaches, businesses across Australia and Papua New Guinea are encouraged to mark their calendars and prepare for an enriching experience that could shape their operational strategies and open new avenues for collaboration and growth in the Pacific.
